Dear Fellow Seeker, Thanks for visiting the Trinity Church website. It is a site “under construction” all the time now as we seek new ways to make the Lord known and to assist people in their spiritual journey. For those of you visiting to find out about us, I hope that this site will present a fair picture of who we are, what we profess to believe and the kind of support you can expect to find here. This site is not as “glossy” as some sites. We seek not to mislead through graphics and design. We prefer you see the unvarnished truth. And of course, we hope that you will conclude that you would like to visit. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you. Trinity Church is a Christian community in the classic sense of the term Christian. We are believers in the Trinitarian God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We assent to the Apostle and Nicene creeds. We are a sacramental church that believes in the real presence of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion and that God graces us in a special way through Baptism. We believe that the books of the Old and New Testament are the inspired word of God, the source of all that we need to know for our lives and our salvation. And we gather periodically each week to give thanks and praise for God’s redeeming work in our lives. We are a family church—diverse in age. We are senior citizens, thirty somethings, college and high school students, and young children. We work in the trades, in business and in various professions but we all find a common cause to celebrate: our risen Lord, Jesus Christ. At Trinity you will hear Scripture centered messages designed to be relevant to your life today, sermons that apply the words of Jesus Christ to our families, our community and our world. And each week we share Holy Communion to remember and be renewed by the central event of all history-Jesus’ infamous death and glorious resurrection. As the senior pastor of this place I want to extend my personal invitation to you. Please come and visit us. It doesn’t matter where you are in your personal faith journey. Join us. I will do my level best to see that this faith community does everything it can to serve you. My prayer is that everyone who worships in this place will see the face of Jesus, be transformed by his grace and give him thanks and praise. I’m looking forward to meeting you. Scott |
